Roadtrip 2 Queenstown - Christchurch
Day 1
The first day of traveling with Martin from Queenstown. The weather is pretty warm just like the good looking sight! Isn't it a nice picture?! Martin and I on our way to Wanaka and the whole route is so scenic like this picture! We see a lot off hills when we are driving. Martin is driving the car when I can admire a lot of the nature! It is so amazing how the nature is. So we take a stop on a scenic lookout where we are making some action pictures! The picture above shows the lookout point. At this lookout point we are busy like a Chinese tourist! Starting to push the button of your camara and you get the right picture.But the right picture is to look like a figure of the past. So I try to feel how Jesus felt! And it feels like "give freedom to everyone!".
On the road to Wanaka we see this lovely view! What a beautiful country! After Wanaka we picked Jason up. He was hitch hiking and he decided to join us for a couple of days! Great and fantastic! Now we are with 3 people to make more fun!
So we are going to the blue pools and the waterfalls! This is in the direction of the West Coast of New Zealand! What do you think if you in the West Coast area? Beautiful views! Yeah, you are right but you have one disadvantage as well, SUNFLIES! If you don't what it is then you will be eaten by the sunfly! It is a terrible mosquito but the sunfly bite is more worse to have! So if you go to the West Coast of New Zealand be sure that you have Dettol(brown liquid medicine) and baby-oil and mix this up in the following measurement. If you combine these two ingredients be sure that the liquid is existing to 50% Dettol and 50% baby-oil then you have the right combination to keep sunflies away! So we get rid off the sunflies and then we are going for a walk to the blue pools! At the way to the blue pools we see a impressive tree where we make a picture so we can store this tree in our mind and on our computer!
After the amazing blue pools we are going to the waterfalls in the West Coast.
The waterfalls! What a big happening! If you going to New Zealand than you can see a lot of waterfalls. Probably it was my 50th waterfall that I have seen! Every time that I see a new waterfall he will be special in his own way! Look at the pictures besides this text! After that we have seen the waterfalls we setup the tent and are preparing our diner. After the diner we will sleep but can you sleep with sunflies?
Day 2
So the sunflies bit me enough in my neck and on my legges! So we are going to the beach in a small place where we can stretch our legged, which is followed by the knights lookout point. After this lookout point we see another beach with white stones! So now we see a lot and we want to start with tramping.
The start of tramping starts with crossing small streams! The track name is Copland Track.
The distance of the track is 17 km long. So it will take us 7 hours to get at the hut.
The picture on the left side shows a break at the copland track. We are just enjoying the rocks and the blue water!
This will be one of the views during this walking track.
Yeah, walking almost four hours and we are still standing! We are going to the hut and if we there we are probably going to celebrate it. But how we are going to celebrate it?
When we have done the track we go to the hot pools which are very nice and warm. After this we take some delicious wine in a bottle!
That will taste great! Where are we going to sleep guys? Under a rock... WHAT.. under a rock... yeah I am going to sleep under a rock with Martin and Jason!
Day 3
The track is 17 km one way, so I have to walk 17 km today again! I don't like the idea to sleep under a rock but it some sensation as well. After this I want to go as quick as possible to the next scenery because the sunflies are irritating me! Just walk and go to the glacier!
Fox Glacier!
We go to the mirror lake. It called the mirror lake because you can see the mountains in the lake if it isn't windy! After the visit the mirror lake we are searching for a free camping spot to celebrate the birthday of Martin!
Day 4
We are going to YHA hostel to internet and use some stuff in the hostel. After this we are going with kathleen to the Frans Jozepf Glacier.
Just see how beautiful and huge the Frans Jozepf Glacier is! I become so quite!
After the glacier Jason, Martin and I decide to go further because Jason have to be in Wellington about two days so he will leave tomorrow in the afternoon and Kathleen will join us in the afternoon in Hokitika. The beach of Hokitika is full surprises and is very awesome to walk around there.
After Hokitika Jason left us and we are going further to the Arthurs Pass and I had a wonderful driver, Martin!
The view becomes better and better the more we reached Arthurs pass.
One of the birds we can't miss are the Kea. They aren't afraid of you and they will demolish your car if you don't look out!
The day ends with a moonrise and we will sleep in the car!
Day 5
Unbelievable start! It is because the weather is perfect and the car of Kathleen won't start! So we are going to the village to hang around and wait on the repair guy! After two hours waiting we are going to do the avalanche track. And you will see a lot of nice views or pictures of the avalanche track, which are gorgeous!

Day 6
The avalanche track is beautiful and I can do it again if I have to! Just a gorgeous view! We want to see a waterfall which is 131 meter high and then we want to go somewhere else to see some scenery along the road in the direction of Christchurch. We are going to do the cave track as well which is very fun. After this we will stay on a camp side near this track!

Day 7
We are going to Kura Tawhiti Rocks. We spend a couple of hours to watch a lot of (big) rocks. You will see on the pictures. After this I will go to the same hostel where I stayed couple of weeks ago! Avon city backpackers prepare for Barry White!
